A tragic car accident occurred in Iowa County, Wisconsin on August 29th resulting in the death of a 78-year-old woman from Dodgeville. The woman was riding in a 2007 Toyota Avalon driven by her 81-year-old husband when it collided with another vehicle, a 2004 Chrysler Pacific, that ran a stop sign. The woman suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department reports that the accident occurred at the intersection of County Z and Section Line Road in the city of Dodgeville.
Everyone involved in the accident received medical treatment, but the 81-year-old woman was the only one to die. There were two young children who were passengers on the Chrysler Pacific.
In another recent accident, a New York City cab collided with an SUV on Thursday, September 5. The accident happened at 42nd Street and 1st Avenue and resulted in damage to some scaffolding that had been erected in the area.

The taxi driver told police he swerved to avoid hitting a cyclist.
In this accident, other people were apparently hit by the taxi and the other two victims may also have been injured. But her condition has not been made public.
The seriously injured woman was a 23-year-old British tourist. A plumber who was nearby saw the fall and immediately rushed to the woman’s aid. He used a belt to make a tourniquet for the woman’s heavily bleeding leg. Celebrity physician Doctor Oz was also on hand to help, and he praised the plumber’s quick mind.
