What Should a Pregnant Woman Do After a Car Accident?

What should a pregnant woman do after a car accident? I was driving along thinking that we were doing pretty well, I didn’t realize until we stopped at a red light, that there was a passenger in the car that I didn’t know, and that is when I really found out that I had just been in a car accident. I don’t remember much after that, I do however remember getting out of the car and walking towards the light, and I can tell you now that the light really turned green, it wasn’t red like I thought it was. I sure hope that doesn’t mean that I got hurt. Anyway, I went to get the paper to write down my license number so that I could at least find out who the person was that hit me, but I must say that I was very shaken up, and I really felt bad for the people back there. I was also wondering how I was going to let my little girl drive when she was so afraid of everything that she saw.

So, needless to say, I called the police, and they sent an officer out to speak with me. I asked him why did they think that we were driving too fast for the road. He told me that the officer was new, and that he was concerned about my behavior in the car. He thought that it might be anger over something, and that he needed to talk to the lady behind the wheel. She was taken to the local hospital, and according to her mom she was fine.

After the Accident

The next morning, I went to pick up my daughter from school, and I was surprised to find out that the school secretary told me that the driver of the car that hit me had given her a ticket the previous day. What Should a Pregnant Woman Do After a Car Accident? You bet she does. She called the officer that took care of me and told him what had happened. She asked him if there was any way that I could at least get some time off, and the officer told her that she could. We have since gotten to know one another quite well.

Two weeks later, our new neighbor and I were walking home from picking up her daughter from daycare when I suddenly felt a prickling sensation in my upper chest. I turned around and was looking down at my belly, and there in front of me was a wad of blood. I immediately called 911, and they quickly pronounced me “Paramedic”. They also said that I’d be fine, but they were rather shaken up seeing the extent of my injuries. I’ve been getting more worried lately, because all I can remember since that night is a ringing in my ears, a feeling that I can only describe as surreal.

What Should a Pregnant Woman Do After a Car Accident?

The answer to the question “what should a pregnant woman do after a car wreck?” is as follows: do nothing! I don’t mean that I don’t want to make sure that the injury doesn’t become permanent. I just mean that I want to make sure that I do whatever I can within the limits of my legal rights to protect myself and my unborn child. In most states, a pregnant woman is not considered a viable candidate for any sort of medical treatment during the time that she is in the womb, so I want to make sure that I’m doing everything in my power to keep myself healthy.

Importance of Lawyer After Accident

I’ve also learned that it is perfectly acceptable to consult with a lawyer who specializes in car accidents after they happen, although I had already contacted several after the accident. A friend of mine had called me after her car accident to ask what should she have done, and she told me that she could not imagine driving herself home, since she would have been in the car for at least a couple hours. As you can probably tell, though, most people simply don’t know what to do when they are involved in a car wreck.
